Öz

Bu çalışmanın amacı, Alanya destinasyonunda Genius Loci (mekânın ruhu) ile yersizleşme, yabancılaşma ve turistikleşme arasındaki etkileşimi fenomenolojik bir yaklaşımla incelemektir. Araştırmada nitel araştırma deseni ile fenomenolojik bir yaklaşım tercih edilmiştir. Araştırma amacına uygun seçilen mekânda amaçlı örnekleme yöntemiyle seçilen 12 yerli ziyaretçi ile yürüyüş mülakatı gerçekleştirilmiştir. Nitel araştırmada elde edilen veri seti fenomenolojik yaklaşım ilkeleri doğrultusunda yorumlanmış ve araştırma soruları doğrultusunda tartışılmıştır.  Çalışma, Alanya destinasyonunda mekânın kimliğini turist bakış açısıyla C.Norberg-Schulz (1971) tarafından geliştirilen Genius Loci Teorisi çerçevesinde fenomenolojik bir yaklaşımla ele alarak turizm literatürüne kuramsal derinlik ve farklı bir paradigma kazandırmaktadır. Alanya’nın doğal ve kültürel mirası ile kitle turizminin ürettiği yersizleşmiş mekân kaygısı arasındaki ilişkiyi turist deneyimleri üzerinden analiz ederek destinasyon kimliği tartışmalarına özgün bir perspektif sunmaktadır. Bu yönüyle çalışma, büyüme odaklı turizm modellerinin mekânın ruhu üzerindeki etkilerini eleştirel biçimde ortaya koyan yenilikçi bir katkı üretmektedir.
