Glütensiz Beslenen Bireylerin Etkinlik Deneyimleri Üzerine Nitel Bir Araştırma (A Qualitative Study on the Event Experiences of Individuals Following a Gluten-Free Diet)

Bu çalışmanın amacı, Türkiye’de yaşayan ve glütensiz beslenen bireylerin sosyal etkinliklerde yaşadıkları beslenme deneyimlerini ve bu deneyimlerin sosyal katılım süreçlerine nasıl yansıdığını keşfetmektir. Araştırma, yorumlayıcı paradigma doğrultusunda tasarlanmış nitel bir çalışmadır. Amaçlı örnekleme yöntemiyle, son bir yıl içerisinde sosyal etkinliklere katılmış 38 glütensiz beslenen bireyden çevrim içi yazılı görüşmeler yoluyla veri toplanmış; ayrıca dört katılımcıyla derinlemesine görüşmeler gerçekleştirilmiştir. Veriler, tematik analiz yaklaşımı kullanılarak çözümlenmiştir. Analiz sonucunda; erişim ve uygunluk sorunları, sosyal katılım ve aidiyet eksikliği, katılım kararını etkileyen faktörler, kişisel çözümler, psikolojik ve duygusal etkiler ile beklentiler ve öneriler olmak üzere altı tema belirlenmiştir. Bulgular, güvenilir glütensiz seçeneklere erişimde yaşanan güçlüklerin sosyal etkinlik deneyimlerinin önemli bir parçası olduğunu ve katılım kararlarının büyük ölçüde güvenli yiyecek seçeneklerinin bulunmasına bağlı olarak şekillendiğini göstermektedir. Araştırma, glütensiz beslenmenin yalnızca bireysel bir beslenme gereksinimi olarak değil, erişilebilirlik, kapsayıcılık ve sosyal katılım boyutlarıyla birlikte ele alınması gerektiğine işaret etmektedir.
